Capt Dave’s Beach House is bordered by the beautiful cities of Sarasota, Venice, and Nokomis and is primarily known for its beautiful white sand beaches.
The area is also renowned for the island of Casey Key, Nokomis Beach, fishing, as well as numerous opportunities for biking, boating, canoeing and kayaking along the Intracoastal waterways. Here are just a few of the reviews of our nearby beaches and restaurants.
NOKOMIS BEACH
“We are going back next month, we can’t wait ! Last year, my family watched the sea turtles lay eggs at night. (I went to bed, LOL!) The scientists were there marking the nests. We also went to the drum circle Saturday night. It was great! We’re going next month also!“

NORTH JETTY BEACH
“Went to this beach for the first time with a friend and loved it. The water was a beautiful teal color and the beach itself was clean. While walking along the water my friend and I found shark’s teeth and when we went walking on the jetty saw a manatee right next to the rocks. Dolphins also seem to enjoy the area as we saw a few chasing fish next to the jetty. All in all an excellent beach day and I would go back again.“

CASEY KEY FISH HOUSE
“Love the atmosphere of this dockside restaurant. You can rent water sports here and also next to a fun tiki bar.
They offer outdoor and indoor seating. It gets crowded often, but they definitely know how to handle crowds without rushing you. Quick and professional service.
We’ve never had a bad meal here. Fish is always fresh and lots of sides and vegetables to choose. Portion sizes are perfect size.“
